Insight Summits Privacy Policy
Who We Are
Insight Summits, LLC (“Insight Summits,” “we,” “us”) operates private, invitation-only finance conferences in the United States and Canada. This policy explains how we handle attendee and sponsor information for these events.
Scope
This policy applies to our North American in‑person events and related communications. We do not process attendee data through public websites or public apps for these events. Guest lists are prohibited from being published online by guests or sponsors.
What We Collect
We only process the following business data about attendees and invited guests: Firm, Name, Title, Email, Phone, Estimated Revenue, and Location. We collect this directly from attendees, attendees’ organization, or from publicly available business sources. We collect required approvals from attendees ahead of each event to share this information solely with the sponsors of that specific event that they are attending. Attendees may withdraw consent at any time by emailing events@insightsummits.org; we will notify the relevant sponsors to stop further outreach and request deletion of your information.
How We Use and Share Information
We use the data to plan and operate our events. For a given event, we provide the sponsors with the guest list and corresponding guest information by email only to continue discussions from attendees who attended the event. When we share, we send Firm, Name, Title, Email, Phone, Estimated Revenue, and Location to that event’s sponsors. We do not include attendee lists online, do not provide public directories, and do not enable online downloads. Sponsors must protect the data, honor unsubscribe requests, and avoid onward disclosure except as required by law.
Legal Basis and Regional Notes
In the United States, we rely on our legitimate business interests to run B2B events and on your choices where required by state privacy laws. In Canada, we follow PIPEDA’s principles for business contact information and obtain consent where needed. We do not knowingly collect data of individuals under 16.
Security
We protect data with role‑based access, encryption in transit, and vendor controls. Because we transmit guest lists by email, we require sponsors to apply comparable safeguards and to promptly notify us of any incident involving the data.
Retention
We keep event contact records for up to five years to plan future programming and resolve inquiries. We delete or minimize data when no longer needed.
Your Rights
If you are in a state or province that grants privacy rights, you may request access, correction, or deletion of your information by emailing events@insightsummits.org. We will verify your request and respond within the required time.
International Transfers
Event data may be stored in the United States and accessed by our Canadian operations. Where required, we use appropriate agreements with service providers to safeguard transfers.
Photography
Our North American events may include photography for post-event recap and limited promotional use. If you prefer not to be featured, notify staff and we will accommodate reasonable requests.
